Pender County extends our deepest sorrow over the tragic shooting in Southport last night that claimed three lives and left several others injured. We ask everyone to keep the victims, those recovering, and the families who are grieving in your thoughts and prayers.
We are also deeply grateful for the swift and dedicated response of law enforcement and emergency medical personnel. While Brunswick is our neighbor, we are all part of Eastern North Carolina, and we grieve alongside them.
