Pender County Residents must attach a trash decal to the windshield of their vehicle to access Convenience Centers for disposal of residential kitchen trash and residential recycling. (This service is not for businesses.)
During business hours, trash decals can be obtained at the Pender County Tax Office (300 E Fremont Street) or the Pender County Annex (15060 US-17, Hampstead). You can pick up the new decal after October 1st.
Two stickers are provided when Solid Waste fees on property tax have been paid. Additional decals will cost $40 each.
Residential Household Items and Construction debris - Admitted once a day under 200 lb can be disposed of in Construction and Demolition (C&D) bins at the convenience centers in Burgaw, Rocky Point, Willard, and Transfer Station Scale House in Hampstead. This service is for residential disposal only.
Note: All business and/or commercial non-recyclable waste must be disposed of at the Hampstead Transfer Station. All business and/or commercial recyclables must be disposed of through a commercial recycling contract with a private hauler and cannot be taken to the Convenience Sites or the Hampstead Transfer Station.
