Entering a New Phase

As we begin 2025, we also begin the second year of our two year long Comprehensive Land Use Planning process. During 2024, we saw an amazing Community Engagement Window #1, which sought feedback from citizens about the future land use plan and how we can build a better community. Thanks to the support of our citizens, we received over 1500 responses to the survey. After the plan is drafted, Community Engagement Window #2 will seek feedback from the community again as we move closer to completion and adoption of the new plan. The Steering Committee will be meeting to review a draft version of the new Future Land Use Map at their meeting on Thursday, January 23rd at 5:30 PM. This meeting will be in the Board of Commissioners' Chamber at 805 S. Walker Street in Burgaw. Please feel free to come listen to the discussion.
